Providing and maintaining a safe working environment for our employees and customers is mandatory. To accomplish this task, we have staffed our company through out with experienced and professional people. Our employees are familiar with diverse and often times difficult job conditions. This experience and knowledge enables us to create a safe and productive crane lift.
In 2004 W.O. Grubb made major strides in upgrading our safety program. Chuck Cooke, a long time employee with Grubb, has been designated safety director. Safety committees consisting of management and labor have been established and an incentive program has been initiated to reward our employees for working safe. These improvements along with other changes have resulted in a safer work environment and an EMR and DART well under the industry average.
We regularly update our safety manual to use as a guideline to compliment current OSHA and VOSH and MOSH safety regulations. Along with our weekly tool box meetings we also require our employees to attend onsite contractor safety orientations. Site visits conducted by our safety department insure all employees adhere to our strict safety guidelines. We have a zero tolerance drug and alcohol policy that meets FMCSA/DOT/CDL requirements. We also have a complete criminal background check program accepted by the U.S. Navy, e.i. Dupont, Philip Morris USA, and Honeywell, just to name a few.
Our crane fleet is inspected daily and certified by a third party OSHA qualified inspector annually. We are adament in keeping our equipment in topnotch shape to minimize the inherent dangers of our business.
W.O. Grubb crane rental is confident that our aggressive approach to the reduction of injuries and elimination of unsafe practices is the solution to providing a safe workplace resulting in happy and confident employees and clients.
